about GVAKenya?

We’ve compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about who we are, what we do, and how you can get involved. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out — we’re always happy to help.

We believe that the people closest to the problem are also closest to the solution. That’s why we prioritize local voices, lived experiences, and grassroots innovation in everything we do. Our programs are co-created with the communities we serve — ensuring they are relevant, sustainable, and rooted in dignity.

Every child, youth, and family deserves the chance to succeed — no matter where they come from. We work to level the playing field by removing systemic barriers to education, healthcare, creativity, and leadership, creating pathways to a better life for those most overlooked.

We don’t just serve youth — we empower them to lead. As a youth-founded and youth-led organization, we place young people at the center of decision-making and program design. Their courage, creativity, and insight are key drivers of our mission.

Art has the power to heal, unite, and inspire. From theatre and music to visual arts and digital storytelling, we use creativity to spark dialogue, build confidence, and amplify unheard voices. It's not just what we do — it’s how we change mindsets and mobilize communities.
